A little history

Barcelona’s history dates back more than 2,000 years, when it was founded by the Romans as Barcino. In the Middle Ages, the city became one of the most important commercial centres of the Kingdom of Catalonia, and in the 19th and 20th centuries it underwent a period of enormous industrial and cultural development.
