About Me

I have a background in law and economics and serve as the Managing Director of Victoria Cruises Line, a company dedicated to creating an extraordinary way of exploring the world.

Our vision is an ambitious one: an 886-day journey across the world's oceans, visiting 219 ports in 115 countries. But for me, travel has always been about much more than destinations and itineraries. When I first began writing about the ports along the Victoria Cruises Line route, my goal was simple: to introduce our future residents to the remarkable places they would have the opportunity to discover.

What began as part of my professional responsibilities gradually became something far more personal — a genuine passion for travel writing. Over time, this blog has grown beyond the cruise itinerary. Today, it is a collection of stories, discoveries and personal experiences from my travels through Europe, Africa and beyond.

From the timeless charm of Italian villages and the elegance of the French Riviera to the traditions of England and the lesser-known treasures of Africa, I enjoy exploring places that have a story to tell. I am particularly drawn to local cultures, authentic cuisine, historic streets and the small details that make a destination unforgettable.

I believe the most meaningful travel experiences are not always found in famous landmarks or luxury hotels. Sometimes, they are discovered in a family-run restaurant, a quiet village square, a local market or an unexpected conversation.

Whenever I write about my own journeys, I try to share not just what a place looks like, but what makes it special — its atmosphere, flavours, traditions and the moments that stay with us long after we leave. Through this blog, I hope to inspire readers to look beyond the familiar, discover places with curiosity and appreciate the extraordinary diversity of our world.

Because the best travel stories are not simply about where we go, but what we discover along the way.
