The cypress-lined hills of Tuscany, the scent of freshly baked schiacciata, and an olive oil fingerprint smudged across a map. Over the years, I’ve been grateful for many things my travels have given me – among them, the knowledge of what goes into a soup in a hilltop Tuscan village, how fish is seasoned in a Ligurian harbour, or what dessert you might be offered during an afternoon visit. And of course, I’ve fallen for the ingredients themselves – for the Parmesan, the truffles, and so many others I could name.

It’s not just the food itself – it’s the way they cook it, share it, and live it.
Mediterranean cuisine isn’t a checklist of recipes from a cookbook. It’s a way of life. The hum of a morning market, a dinner that can’t be rushed, and a glass of wine made from grapes that were perhaps harvested just the day before on a sun-drenched hillside. And yes, a wooden spoon I pick up again and again at home, trying to bring back what I experienced there.
There’s no greater compliment than when my children’s Italian friends say, “You cook better than a real Italian mamma.”
This isn’t going to be a cookbook. It’s more of a flavour journal. Behind every recipe is a place, a story, a heartbeat. I’ll show you what I’ve recreated in my own kitchen – dishes inspired by what I tasted in Italy.

Fresh fruits, crisp vegetables, flavourful fish, juicy meats, and rich ragùs will make their way onto the plates. Alongside these easy, mouth-watering recipes, I’ll share the unforgettable places where I dined and the markets or shops where I source my ingredients.
This kitchen isn’t trendy, fast, or perfect. But it’s real, seasonal, and deeply personal.
If that speaks to you, come along – let’s cook together, with sunshine, simplicity, and the true spirit of the Mediterranean.
