Stele of Liberty: An iconic statue in Libreville, difficult to approach closely as it is located near the heavily guarded presidential palace. You can walk past it, but you’ll be stopped if you attempt to take pictures. The sculpture depicts a half-man, half-woman slave breaking free from chains.
Les Ateliers Olima: A unique shop specializing in creations made from Mbigou soapstone, exclusive to Gabon. While photography is prohibited inside the store, you’ll find beautifully hand-carved items such as small animal sculptures, jewelry, and candleholders.
